The Sixth Temple: Pura Luhur Uluwatu – The Guardian on the Cliffs

The final temple on my journey was the awe-inspiring Pura Luhur Uluwatu, a sea temple that stands majestically atop a 70-meter-high cliff. The sight of the temple, surrounded by the endless blue of the Indian Ocean, was absolutely breathtaking.

A Temple Full of Playful Guardians

The temple grounds were filled with monkeys, famous for their mischievous nature—nothing is safe from them, whether it's handbags, sunglasses, or food. Though they are often cheeky and bold, I was able to approach them and even gently stroke the baby monkeys. This was a moment of pure joy and lightness, bringing a smile to my face.

A Sacred Meditation of Protection

After offering my Pejati sacrifice, I entered a deeply moving meditation. Uluwatu is known as a temple of protection, a place believed to ward off negative energies from the ocean.

At the heart of the temple stands a majestic statue of Hanuman, the warrior and healer, standing like a guardian, watching over the temple, its visitors, and the entire island.

The Power of Hanuman – The Warrior and Healer

During my meditation, I could feel the Hanuman energy—the strength of the warrior and the healer—becoming anchored within me. It felt like a powerful conclusion, gathering and harmonizing all the energies I had absorbed throughout my journey.

The feeling of protection and strength that I received from Pura Luhur Uluwatu was something I carried home with me, a gift from this extraordinary temple, a shield of energy and resilience that continues to stay with me.
